Liars. I’ve been chugging Alka-Seltzer for over 24 hours, and it has NOT helped. Maybe that’s because I have a horrible case of the flu rather than just a cold. Oh yeah, not just the normal flu, but the puking kind as well. Just a bit of trivial information. I’ve been puking since 3am. The Aunt, who’s a saint, just dropped off ginger ale, saltines, and sugar-free jello. To top it off, she wouldn’t even let me pay. Have I mentioned lately how much I love The Aunt?? Anyhow, about this flu. I think one of my students hexed me. Think about it. My reading students were supposed to have their midterm today, and my writing students were supposed to finish up and hand in their midterm portfolios. I bet they all gathered and sacrificed a chicken or a squirrel to the college gods. Lo and behold, I had to cancel my classes because I couldn’t tear myself away from making sacrifices of my own to the big porcelain god. It’s okay though. I’ll just be twice as hard on them. Just kidding…sorta… Does this post even make sense? It’s kinda wavy right now. Maybe I should go back to bed now.
