Ooops…I didn’t realize how many days had passed since I last blogged. Bad me. Okay, been having a ton of fun at home. My dad and I took the dog to camp on Friday. That was so awesome. We hiked for over 2 hours through the mountains. It was great. The dog was in her glory. She got to chase many, many critters. And she flushed a grouse. Dad was very happy with her.
Yesterday, Mom and I went to the renaissance festival. It was SOOOO fun. I got to be a pawn in human chess, take a sword fighting class, and fence. Human chess is hilarious. The kings of each side have their moves written out on paper. The whole game is scripted. However, it never fails that by move 5 or 6, somebody has screwed up somewhere. Now each side has to make all these illegal moves just to get back on track. So funny. I swear half the fun of these matches is see which side screws up first.
Last night was my friend Cindy’s birthday. We all went out to this little hole-in-the-wall bar called Bar 11. It was loud. And foggy. But very few people were smoking which was such a nice change. It was fun, though. I got to see people that I haven’t seen in many years. I also got to meet two of my friends’ fiancees. Both are extremely nice.
I’m tired today. I was supposed to help my sister move into her dorm room this morning, but that definitely didn’t happen. I slept right through it. With everything I did yesterday, I’m taking a break!
